And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today 'Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the U.S.A.! As has become the de facto tradition at President Donald J. Trump’s rallies since the early days of his 2016 campaign, the ever-polarizing 45th President of the United States would take to the stage in Hershey, PA on December 10th, 2019 to the tune of country singer Lee Greenwood’s signature patriotic anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.”, waving at the throngs of his cheering supporters which had packed into the 10,500-seat Giant Center, usually home to the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears. Over the course of Donald Trump’s precipitous rise to prominence in American politics in recent years, I have become an avid watcher of the President’s rallies and press conferences, having taken to watching every such event which has been staged since the early days of the Republican Primaries in 2016, due primarily to their highly-amusing and entertaining nature.
